And another subject area is having a consistent Smalltalk meta-model API.

Such a thing would provide a consistent way of asking questions about
classes, methods etc. and may prove to be very useful for the
Smalltalk tool-smiths. Such an API should not place limits on how a
dialect is implemented.

This would be quite a large subject area and I would not expect a
comprehensive API to be included in the first release of the standard,
but getting standardisation under way in this area would be a good
thing IMO.
