Hi Bruce,

I'm sorry if *anyone* interpreted any of my emails as an announcement of 
project policy; that certainly wasn't my intent.

I have produced a tool that I hope is useful enough for us to adopt, and 
I have asked that folks try it out and give feedback. I also made a 
proposal that we use it, and fully expect that proposal to be discussed 
before we make a group decision on it.
