[ANSI-Smalltalk] The vote on our standards process

Hi all,

I have set up a Doodle Poll to let us vote on how we would like to
proceed with the administration of our work. The poll is here:

http://www.doodle.ch/participation.html?pollId=htasnxt27fcezxzg

As discussed, the options on the poll are:

   1. Stick with the ANSI process
   2. Administer the project ourselves
   3. Find another standards body to administer the project

Let's say that this poll will run for 14 days (i.e. the vote will
close at midnight GMT on Sat 16th, results available on Sun 17th), in
case anyone is away on vacation etc. Also we can use the time to
discuss the matter and try to arrive at a consensus.

FWIW, I feel torn between preferring to stick with the established
process and very much wanting the process to be open and transparent.
If the project is to have vitality I think it must be open. I worry,
though, that consumers of the standard may think less of it unless it
carries the rubber stamp (gravitas, if I may use that word again) of
an established standards body.

To the polls!

All the best,
    Bruce
