[ANSI-Smalltalk] ANSI or not ANSI. Should that be the vote?

Dear all,

We have has some time to digest the news that the ANSI process looks
like it will not be as open as we might have wished. Specifically,
the mailing list and wiki would only be accessible to people on the
committee and the final document would be copyright ANSI/INCITS and
would be only available on a for-fee basis.

We need to decide how we wish to proceed. I think having a vote is a
good way to do that.

The thing about votes is that the outcome can be altered by the way
the questions are put, so I thought I would suggest the questions
before kicking off the vote. So, how about if we have the following
three options to vote upon:

o Try to work with the ANSI process

o Devise our own process

o Look for another standards organisation to work with

What do you think?

All the best,
    Bruce
